About

I’m Kim, and I’m a psychotherapist.

I built Therapeutic Atlas to help therapists share their work beyond the session room, with mentorship, training and tools that take the tech off their shoulders.

My story

Where I’ve been, and why I’m here.

I’ve always been someone who wanted to help people. I knew what it was like to be in pain, and if I could ease that for anyone else, that’s what I hoped to do.

When my own healing began many years ago, I dreamed of going to university, and becoming a therapist was at the top of my list. But I never thought I was smart enough. I didn’t have the money. And trauma from my past often held me back. The years kept flying by.

Then one day an opportunity came, and I said yes. I started my bachelor’s in 2021, at 44 years old, and I’ve been in university full time ever since. I studied psychotherapy, finished my master’s, and now I’m working on my doctorate. I’ve loved it more than I ever imagined.

When you know you’re in the right place at the right time, it’s a marvellous miracle from God. I’m so grateful to be on this journey, and to walk alongside people on theirs.

For a while now, I’ve also been quiet online. Behind the scenes, I’ve been building: videos about where our work comes from and what actually happens in therapy, a mentorship group for therapists who want to reach more people, and tools that make the work a little lighter.
